Football From Home - Football Canada

By KH 05/26/2020, 6:45pm EDT

Football Canada is pleased to launch Football from Home, a new initiative for its members and participants which will provide education, learning tools, engaging activities and football experiences, all from the comfort of home.

There are four pillars involved in the Football from Home program: learning from home, coaching from home, training from home and programs from home. Learn more about each pillar below.

Engage with the #FootballFromHome initiative by using the hashtags #TrainingFromHome, #LearningFromHome, #CoachingFromHome, and #ProgramsFromHome on social media to share how you are engaging with football from home.

For details on how to register please contact your Provincial Sport Organization.

Please ensure to follow all safety requirements set out in the programs and your PSO.

With the City cancelling access to all sports facilities and fields until at least June 30, the club is cancelling the spring flag and girls touch programs this year. Emails have been sent to all participants in these programs. We hope to revisit for participation in 2021.

This is a decision that NCAFA and the Eagles made jointly. It does NOT include fall tackle or cheer at this point. There will be more information on this later and I will share with you as it becomes available.

I hope your families are well and that you are staying indoors as much as possible to avoid this pandemic.

If you have any questions please contact Stephen Dean at sdean@rogers.com.

Thank you!

Hello Everyone

I hope this update finds you and your families safe and secure.  It is fair to say that this pandemic has created new ways of connecting to family, friends and colleagues.

The club is on hold at present as is the rest of the world. Staying indoors is the best precaution to take at this juncture. Don’t  hesitate to reach out to your fellow coaches, parents and players to ensure
they are ok and keep the lines of communication open.

You may have heard that the City of Ottawa is possibly cancelling facilities/field access to the end of June. We are playing close attention to this and if this is the case it will have a significant impact on our spring flag and girls touch programs. While we are still accepting registrations for these programs, if they are to be cancelled parents will receive a 100% refund.

More to come, however please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you

Steve Dean
